The situation is improving and river levels are falling, however further isolated showers are forecast to continue in the area. We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day and this message will be updated Saturday afternoon or earlier if the situation changes.

    Rising river levels throughout the morning may lead to flooding.
    Flooding is possible.
    Areas most at risk include Rivers Duddon, Crake and Mill Beck and other watercourses, from Coniston to Barrow-in-Furness including low lying areas around Ulpha, Duddon Bridge, Broughton in Furness, Kirkby-in-Furness, Dalton in Furness and Ulverston.
    Weather conditions are expected to improve this afternoon and no further flooding is expected.
    We are closely monitoring the situation.

    Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected.
    The flood alert level is forecast to be reached at 13:00 today, Saturday 14th July.
    Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around The Upper Derwent from Seathwaite to Derwent Water.
    Following heavy thundery showers overnight, river levels are high and further showers are forecast throughout the day but no further flooding is expected.

    Areas affected: Rivers Greta, St Johns Beck and Bassenthwaite Lake

    Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected.
    Following overnight heavy rain showers, flooding is possible from low lying land and roads. Surface water may also be an issue.
    Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Rivers Greta, St Johns Beck and Bassenthwaite Lake, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around River Derwent from Keswick to Bassenthwaite. The Rivers Greta, Glenderamackin and St Johns Beck including Keswick.
    Further showers, some heavy, are forecast during Saturday but no further flooding is expected, and no flood warnings are predicted.

    Areas affected: Severn Vyrnwy confluence

    Flooding is possible - be prepared

    River levels are rising at the Llanymynech river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible today, 14/06/25. Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from the Welsh border at Llawnt to Shrawardine near Shrewsbury. Other locations that may be affected include Llanymynech, Maesbrook and Melverley.
    Predicted peaks:- Llanymynech 3.0m to 3.5m on Saturday morning, 14/06/25.
    Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Saturday afternoon, 14/06/25.
    We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
    Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.

Warning services for areas at risk of flooding from rivers or the sea are provided by the Environment Agency (EA) for England, Natural Resources Wales (NRW) for Wales and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
